NAE (Lipid) AMSA-Indonesia 2017

November was a big month for AMSA-Indonesia. In this month, all AMSA-University delegates were gathered in Semarang, Central Java, to attend “National Action Event 2017 LIPID-(Living Perfectly in Healthy Diet)” hosted by Diponegoro University from November 24-26th , 2017. NAE 2017 was consisted of health campaign, social project, debate competition, EOTY 2018 opening ceremony and many other things. In this event, AMSA-Unsyiah sent 7 delegates: 1 Representative (Alief Afrisiammy), 5 General Delegates (Islah Nadila, Kemal Aulia, Riski April, Yusuf Muhammad Reza & Ari Putra) and 1 APH (Intan Ch. Mulya). As the delegates, Intan would like to share AMSA-Unsyiah’s delegates’ experience through this post.


NAE Lipid 2017 was begun on Friday, November 24th, 2017. The delegates from AMSA-Unsyiah arrived in two batches, 3 persons in the morning and 4 others in the evening. The registration opened before 3 pm in Diponegoro Univeristy, Tembalang. To reach Undip, we had to spend approximately 30-45 minutes from the airport by car. All the delegates should be dressed in pastel since the registration till the welcoming party. In this interval of time, we were given a lecture session by a nutritionist about metabolic syndrome and also a presentation/evaluation managed by Academic Team AMSA-Indonesia.


Next day was debate competition and health campaign day. As this year we didn’t send debaters, all of us participated in the health campaign at Kampung Pelangi, a very beautiful village/housing in town. There, we delivered the importance of good lifestyle to control metabolic syndrome and did first screening by checking their blood pressure in the community’s own house. We should say that most of them have a very high blood pressure that time. One of our hopes is that our approach will bring significant benefits in their lifestyle’s control and disease/syndrome prevention. After lunch, all the delegates excluded debaters were given some training in many aspects. Finally, the peak of event was held on saturday night, and here it is….. Farewell Party. In this part of event, one of our members, Intan Chaharunia Mulya, was inaugurated as an Ambassador of Public Health District 1 2017/2018.


Sunday was the last day of NAE 2017. We began the day by doing a social action together with the professionals in Balai Kota Semarang. We gave free screening, consultation and treatment for the society. The opening ceremony of EOTY 2018 was also held in the same place after social action. We aired the balloon and flied them away. It was a big day for this tenure. We do hope that we can always cooperate together in building a health society to Live perfectly especially in healthy diet. See you in the next national event!
